Resident Transporter
About The Position
At FutureCare, our Resident Transporters are part of our frontline healthcare team and play a pivotal role in the care and support for our residents. Under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor, the Resident Transporters are responsible for transporting our residents throughout the facility via wheelchair or stretcher in a timely and courteous manner. Requirements
- Must possess a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents
- Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility a plus
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the nurse manager regarding daily problems, concerns and issues dealing with resident’s behavior
- Reports any malfunctioning equipment and observed hazards to the nursing department
- Perform a variety of other support services as needed
- Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
