About The Position
Home Again is seeking a dependable, caring, and compassionate Resident Transportation Specialist to provide safe, reliable transportation for Residents to medical and personal appointments. This role involves ensuring safe, timely transportation and requires patience, attentiveness, and a strong commitment to Resident safety and dignity throughout the entire trip. It is more than just driving; it's about providing reassurance, support, and compassionate care while assisting Residents with mobility and appointment access.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Sincere desire to work with the elderly and physically disabled population
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist Residents safely in and out of vehicles
Responsibilities
- Safely transporting Residents to and from medical appointments
- Assisting Residents in and out of the vehicle or community bus
- Escorting Residents into buildings and ensuring they arrive at the correct office
- Assisting with appointment check-in when necessary
- Following all safety policies and traffic regulations
- Maintaining confidentiality of Resident and community information
- Demonstrating professionalism, tact, and sensitivity at all times
