About The Position

The Resident Support Supervisor will serve as the shift supervisor and direct the workflow of the contracted STNA staff to ensure a safe, clean environment conducive to the health and well-being of residents and staff. The Supervisor is also responsible for supporting residents related to the objectives of their integrated health and stable housing plan. The Supervisor performs the job responsibilities detailed below in accordance with program quality standards, policies and procedures of Joseph & Mary’s Home.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
BLS required within 60 days from date of hire.
Basic understanding of trauma or willingness to learn.
Must be committed to the following principles: diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong PC skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
Superior customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to work independently and respond quickly and appropriately to solve problems.

A team player who can relate to people at all levels of the organization and who possess excellent communication skills.

Previous experience working with people experiencing homelessness and behavioral health issues, including mental health and/or substance abuse challenges.

Ability to move up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
Management/Supervisor experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervision of contracted STNA staff.
Monitoring STNA productivity to ensure daily tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
Onboarding and training of new STNA staff, including assistance with completing the onboarding checklist.
Maintaining a shift scheduling system as directed, ensuring building coverage and appropriate workload distribution.
Accurately completing all InSync and paper documentation during shift, including but not limited to food temperature logs, emergency drills, shift reports, resident wellness checks, and incident reports.
Communicating progress towards treatment and housing goals to the treatment team through required documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
Completing Basic Life Support, InSync documentation, and other core competencies within 60 days of job start.
Maintaining confidentiality, following HIPAA, and respecting residents’ personal property.
Assisting residents with self-care tasks as needed.
Supporting residents in taking medications as prescribed by the clinical care team.
Alerting treatment team and management staff of any emergencies or serious changes in the health and well-being of residents.
Assisting with maintaining an inventory of donated items and items in stock at both Joseph & Mary’s Home, to ensure that we have what we need or have a plan to obtain it.
Assisting in conducting, documenting and analyzing emergency drills per Joseph & Mary’s Home policies and procedures and accreditation requirements.
Assisting with the distribution of warm meals for residents and visiting alumni.
Performing housekeeping /maintenance responsibilities to ensure cleanliness and safety of building and seeing that all equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving shift.
Assuring that established infection control and universal infection precaution practices are followed when performing housekeeping/maintenance procedures.
Maintaining an active presence within the facility at all times, circulating the building and interacting appropriately with other staff, residents, alumni or visitors.
Reporting all unsafe or hazardous conditions or equipment immediately to the supervisors through the Agency-designated forms, documentation, and protocols.
Following established fire and safety protocols; completing all drills in a timely manner as directed, including documenting the events.
Inspecting all patient belongings during the intake process to prevent any prohibited contraband from entering Joseph & Mary’s Home.
Attending all required training courses and achieving competencies required by the position.
Identifying, organizing, and responding to Executive Director's prioritization of work tasks.

Working to de-escalate conflict and complete required documentation related to any incidents.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
