About The Position

The purpose of this role is to facilitate participant growth and development toward self-sufficiency in daily living skills, socialization, and community living. The specialist will also work to facilitate participants' stabilization in the community and cooperate with team members.

Requirements

• Associates degree and 2 years experience working in the mental health field or High school diploma and 3 years experience in the mental health field; or any combination of education, experience and training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention/prevention and de-escalation skills required.
• Proficient communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Some knowledge of the behavioral health system and supports.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate participant growth and development toward self-sufficiency in daily living skills, socialization and community living.
• Facilitate participants' stabilization in the community.
• Work cooperatively with team members.
