The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. Work involves implementing and overseeing the daily environmental care and upkeep of facility buildings; works closely with facility residential and support staff to ensure the overall safety, cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental upkeep - reporting any deficient issues to facility maintenance, environmental services, food service, or other section staff as well as to supervisory personnel as assigned. Will perpetually monitor all facility home environments, workshop environments and other environments as assigned, and document all activities and reports of deficient conditions, provide support to home and workshop staff and residents in an effort to maintain environmental excellence and conditions. May supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
