About The Position

Resident Services is seeking a friendly, dependable volunteer to create opportunities for connection, engagement, and fun for older adult residents. The volunteer will support and/or lead activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, movement, and lifelong learning while helping residents feel connected to their community.

Requirements

• Someone who is patient, personable, reliable, and enjoys spending time with older adults.
• Warmth, respect, creativity, and a genuine interest in building community.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with seniors is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate activities such as games, crafts, art, music, reading groups, puzzles, or seasonal celebrations.
• Encourage residents to participate and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Spend time visiting and engaging with residents who may benefit from additional social connection.
• Help set up, facilitate, and clean up activities and community events.
• Work with Resident Services staff to identify activities that reflect residents’ interests and abilities.
• Communicate any resident needs or concerns observed during activities to Resident Services staff.
