About The Position

Provides resident care as required and general clerical support and organization to the department, through timely and well organized processes. Coordinate departmental processes including telephone triage, communication, appointment scheduling, transportation, supply ordering, and organizational calendars. Support leadership with interdepartmental communication and timely follow-up on lab and test results; monitor and track physician schedules, consults, and orders. Oversee clerical workflows for resident admissions, discharges, medical records, filing, data entry, and electronic documentation; ensure compliance with Rochester Regional Health and regulatory standards. Serve as receptionist and information resource for the unit, managing phones, messages, mail, copying, faxing, and general communication flow. LTC-Specific Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to resident needs through call light system or direct contact, ensuring timely referral to staff. Complete monthly charting and maintain resident medical records to meet organizational and regulatory requirements. Perform ICD-9 coding, medical transcription, and order tracking using the Vista Care system. Process medical records to and from the Medical Record Department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of clerical experience, preferably in Health Care.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18
  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Vista Care system experience
