Resources for Community Development (RCD) is a nonprofit developer and owner of affordable housing with a mission to create and preserve affordable housing for people with the fewest options, to build community and enrich lives. RCD fosters strong, inclusive neighborhoods through strategies that address the health, economic development, education, and housing needs of residents. Since 1984, RCD has developed or preserved over 75 communities, providing affordable, high-quality, and service-enriched housing to over 3,000 low-income households in the Bay Area. The organization is actively growing with over 1,000 new units in development or under construction. The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) plays a crucial role in supporting RCD's mission by providing onsite engagement to residents. This position is primarily responsible for connecting individuals and groups with community resources and educational programming, with a focus on supporting vulnerable populations such as seniors, families, and individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS or homelessness. The role encompasses five key areas: housing retention; economic stability and employment/education; health and wellness; social engagement and community development; and youth enrichment across multiple RCD properties. The RSC will collaborate with residents, RCD staff, property management, and third-party providers to help residents achieve personal goals and overcome challenges. Successful candidates will be resourceful, flexible, and committed to promoting access to social services that enhance resident stability, health, education, employment, and youth enrichment.
