About The Position

The Resident Project Representative III performs construction inspection duties on assigned projects. This role requires the ability to read construction plans and specifications, and possess good communication skills. The representative is responsible for directing inspectors and field staff on multiple projects, and has a basic knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in water/wastewater and heavy civil construction. They will communicate with clients, contractors, and engineers, and handle routine matters of relatively small impact that do not involve complex issues or changes to design parameters. The role involves participating in and/or running project meetings, understanding budgets and cost assignments, and assisting the Construction Manager with monthly reports, pay request approvals, stored materials, reviewing as-built drawings, and test reports. Coordination of QC/QA testing on site and completing daily construction reports are also key responsibilities. The representative will interact with clients and work with client field staff, contractor field crews, and Project Managers during construction. Reporting is daily to the Construction Manager and regularly to the Project Manager. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read construction plans and specifications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Have basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in water/ wastewater and heavy civil construction.
  • Ability to understand budgets and cost assignments.
  • Construction Manager Certification from CMAA or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
  • Willing to attend outside training – OSHA, ACI, AMPP, etc.
  • 7 - 15 years’ experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must understand construction surveying procedures and principles.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and vehicle in good working condition and report any problems or repairs needed in a timely manner.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass driver background check.
  • Able to use Microsoft Programs and others as assigned.
  • Willing to Travel.

Responsibilities
