The Resident Project Representative manages consultant construction managers performing work of considerable difficulty. This role assists in coordinating the construction manager of facilities with other District departments. The position provides administration and technical expertise and leadership as part of a construction/contract management team responsible for the administration of the construction of collection system and/or facility improvement projects. The role verifies that the construction conforms to the contract documents, evaluates/reviews change order claims requests and contractor submittals. The Resident Project Representative prepares technical reports concerning construction and engineering problems and solutions, performs construction observation, and makes necessary field inspections to determine existing conditions. This role may meet with government officials, consultants, and the general public to help communicate District policies and responsibilities. Additional responsibilities may include overseeing the Construction Management Team on projects and, in the absence of a supervisor, overseeing subordinates. The role may perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisors.
