About The Position
Physical Therapist Resident - Is a post-graduate physical therapist participating in a clinical residency with our outpatient rehab department. The Resident practices in collaboration with other members of the health care team and demonstrates respectful interactions with patients/clients, colleagues, and others.
Requirements
- Registered Physical Therapist in the State of Florida required.
- Current CPR is required

Responsibilities
- Implements physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, physical agents, manual therapy and wound care management.
- Instructs in functional activities including gait and transfer training.
- Provides patient education.
- Documents information in patient charts.
- Completes charge entries.
- Initiates communication with physicians and other professionals to ensure coordination of treatment efforts.
- Contacts family members and outside agents.
- Maintains ongoing communication with immediate Supervisor, subordinates, and peers.
