This position is located in Estero, Florida. The State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a RESIDENT PARK MANAGER III - SES. This role supervises park staff and participates in the management of area resources, facilities, and public use to ensure proper administration, resource management, visitor services, protection, and maintenance at Koreshan State Park, Estero Bay State Park, and Mound Key State Park. The position requires compliance with Chapter 215.422, F.S., regarding processing requirements, and failure to comply can be grounds for discharge. The role involves demonstrating and reinforcing the agency's mission and values, preparing various forms and reports, and managing employee selection, training, supervision, and discipline. It also includes preparing and controlling work schedules, ensuring timely employee evaluations, preparing budget requests, managing expenditures, supervising fee collection, maintaining inventories, and implementing fiscal control policies. Additionally, the position promotes positive relationships with park volunteers and the Florida Park Service, guides the implementation of resource management plans, maintains public relations with government agencies and organizations, and oversees the park's maintenance program. The role also involves enforcing all laws, rules, policies, leases, agreements, and permits pertaining to the park area.
