About The Position
French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Inspector to join our Construction Engineering Department. This role involves working directly on bridge and roadway construction projects throughout New Jersey. The Resident Inspector will monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract documents, assist in reviewing cost estimates and project submittments, and maintain accurate project documentation. FPA is a growing engineering consulting firm recognized for its commitment to employee growth and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Civil Engineering school required.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or valid NICET Certification required.
- Experience performing construction inspection.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with construction projects.
- Ability to pass a TWIC Background Check.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction inspection on New Jersey based bridge and roadway projects.
- Assist in the review of Cost Estimates and project submittals.
- Coordinate with Project Managers.
- Travel to projects sites when required.
- Ensure daily contractor operations are in accordance with Contract Documents.
- Keep organized and up to date project files.
