About The Position

ATS Mechanical Integrity Group needs a Resident Inspector API-570 (additional API/NDT certs a plus) for direct on-site support at customer facility in New York State. The primary focus will be on mechanical equipment reliability and the inspection and assessment of tanks, vessels, piping components. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field preferred
• Must have API 570 and any additional API certs (API 510/653) preferred including NDT experience and additional NDT certs
• Must be proficient with reports, especially Excel Spreadsheets and similar formats
• Must be local to the Upstate New York or willing/able to relocate to the area
• 8-10 years’ experience in mechanical reliability, tank/vessel/piping inspections, or design and MI program management
• Plant engineering experience
• Industrial inspection, operations, and maintenance experience
• Process improvement experience
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
• Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power-point, AutoCAD
• Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems)
• Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc.
• Generate written reports
• Manage client relationships
