About The Position

Finning is growing fast—and so are the opportunities! We are currently hiring a Resident Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to work with our customers in the Moose Jaw Area. This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift, with the possibility of shift work in the future. The successful candidate will reside in or around Moose Jaw.

Requirements

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Valid class 5 drivers license with a clear drivers abstract
• Dedication to safety
• Self motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are required
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
• Power generation experience would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs (possibility of remote locations)
• Interface with customers, products and sales support
• Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required
