About The Position
New Castle Nursing & Rehab and Twin Oaks Assisted Living are seeking a compassionate, creative, and motivated licensed cosmetologist for a unique role that combines resident beauty services with marketing, social media, and community engagement. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, expressing creativity, making people smile, and connecting with others. The role involves providing salon services to residents while also managing social media, online reputation, website content, and community engagement efforts. This is a part-time position with a flexible daytime schedule.
Requirements
- Current Kentucky Cosmetology License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for serving older adults
- Comfortable using smartphones, social media platforms, and basic computer applications
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in senior living, healthcare, or customer service
- Social media management experience
- Photography, Canva, graphic design, or content creation experience
- Marketing or community relations experience
Responsibilities
- Provide professional haircuts, styling, shampoo/set services, and grooming services for residents.
- Maintain salon schedules at both New Castle Nursing & Rehab and Twin Oaks Assisted Living.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming salon experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional salon environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
- Manage Facebook and social media accounts for both communities.
- Create engaging content highlighting resident life, celebrations, activities, employee recognition, and special events.
- Capture photos and videos of approved events and activities.
- Develop resident spotlight stories and employee recognition features.
- Assist with community events, admissions activities, and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and respond to Google reviews in a professional and timely manner.
- Encourage residents, families, visitors, and employees to share positive experiences online.
- Assist with website updates and community news.
- Support efforts to improve online visibility through content creation and local SEO strategies.
