Senior Network Certification & Implementation Engineer (Juniper Technologies)

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge equivalent to JNCIP-level proficiency (certification not required) with hands-on configuration and troubleshooting experience involving Multicast, GRE Tunnels, IPSec VPNs, NAT, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, Class of Service (CoS), Routing Instances, J-Flow, Real-Time, RPM, VRRP, and SNMP
  • SRX, MX, EX and QFX equipment. The SRXs will mostly be SRX3XX / SRX4XX series, and some larger recently released Mid-Range models. The MXs are typically: MX204, MX301, MX304, MX240, and MX480. The EXs and QFXs are typically the smaller fixed configuration models: EX3400, EX4X00, EX4650 and QFX5120.
  • Experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting: SRX Security Platforms: SRX300 Series, SRX400 Series, recently released mid-range SRX
  • MX Routing Platforms: MX204, MX301, MX304, MX240, MX480
  • EX Switching Platforms: EX3400, EX4000 Series, EX4650
  • QFX Switching Platforms: QFX5120
  • Mist Cloud Management working knowledge of Mist WAN Assurance, Mist Switch Assurance, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operational support of Mist-managed environments.
  • Virtualization & Edge Platforms, requires experience with: Juniper NFX250, NFX350, vSRX, Linux administration, KVM virtualization.
  • Testing and Monitoring Tools, requires experience using: Spirent TestCenter and PRTG Network Monitor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex network environments.
  • Ability to independently design, build, validate, and deploy networking solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer-facing consulting and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineering, operations, and customer audiences.
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering and implementation teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper routing, switching, and security technologies.
  • Proven experience in both laboratory certification/testing and customer-facing network implementations.

  • JNCIP, JNCIS, JNCIE, or equivalent Juniper certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise and service provider environments.
  • Experience with SD-WAN and cloud-managed network architectures.
  • Knowledge of carrier-grade WAN services and Metro Ethernet technologies.
  • Experience integrating LTE/5G technologies for WAN resiliency and failover.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing, certification, and validation of Juniper networking solutions and architectures.
  • Develop, execute, and document test plans for new hardware, software releases, and customer network designs.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and validate advanced networking features using Junos OS.
  • Conduct interoperability and performance testing using industry-standard test equipment.
  • Create detailed technical reports, configuration guides, test results, and operational procedures.
  • Deliver technical presentations and knowledge transfer sessions to engineering and operations teams.
  • Design, configure, and deploy customer network solutions utilizing Juniper routing, switching, security, and cloud-managed platforms.
  • Support implementation teams and customer deployments across enterprise and service provider environments.
  • Develop resilient WAN architectures leveraging Metro Ethernet, Internet, and LTE backup services.
  • Provide technical leadership during customer onboarding, migration, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate with AT&T engineering teams and customers to ensure successful solution deployment and operational readiness.
  • Produce clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Create deployment guides, implementation standards, engineering procedures, and certification reports.
  • Present technical findings, recommendations, and deployment strategies to internal engineering teams and customers.
