The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) is seeking Contractor Resident Engineers/Clerk of Works to monitor various Public construction projects statewide. These projects include CM@Risk, new construction, renovations, demolition, environmental remediation, and energy and water conservation projects, encompassing large retrofits, commissioning, and the installation of renewable energy technology. The primary role of the Contractor Resident Engineers is to observe and document daily construction activities, monitor job progress, and ensure the Contractor's work complies with project plans and specifications. They collaborate with the Designer, Contractor, and Project Manager/Project Engineer to maintain quality control, ensure appropriate construction methods, procedures, and safety requirements are followed, and verify adherence to contract documents and all related codes and regulations, including accessibility codes and guidelines. Additionally, they assist the Designer/Consultant Team in scheduling and coordinating on-site testing, ensuring proper test execution. Resident Engineers are responsible for maintaining accurate project records, ensuring contractor as-builts are up-to-date, assisting with the oversight of MEP and Enclosure Commissioning, utility incentives, punch lists, project close-out, and the delivery/turn-over process from construction to user agency operations. This is a contract position with good prospects for extensions, and multiple positions are open at statewide project locations. The posting will remain online until all positions are filled.
