About The Position
The Resident Engagement Assistant, under the direction of the Director of Resident Engagement, plays a crucial role in ensuring residents are integrated into community life. This involves assessing resident needs and preferences through Personal Well-Being Profiles, orienting new residents to available programs, and actively promoting participation. The role also includes managing and organizing resident activities, outings, and events, ensuring they are within budget and contribute to resident well-being and community engagement. A key aspect of the position is fostering a positive and collaborative environment, contributing to teamwork, and assisting colleagues and residents.

- Skill in orienting new residents to community programs.

Responsibilities
- Complete Personal Well-Being Profiles and meet with new residents within 7 days of move-in to determine program participation levels.
- Orient all residents to community activity programs and how to access them.
- Follow the activity schedule with minimal changes and cancellations.
- Arrange entertainment within budgetary allotments for resident enjoyment.
- Promote all community programs to improve resident participation.
- Comply with spending budgets for activity supplies and entertainment.
- Participate in quarterly marketing events that involve resident entertainment.
- Organize resident events with the Director of Resident Engagement, including planning, advertising, set-up, and clean-up.
- Schedule resident outings, including sight-seeing, destination locations, and medical trips, on the monthly calendar.
- Organize transportation for activity outings and medical visits with the assisted living community.
- Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative, assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
