Requirements

  • Resident Directors will be caring, mature, and thoroughly enjoy interacting with high school-age students.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma
  • have excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong verbal and writing abilities to communicate with Academy staff, students, and parents.
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to live in a private apartment in the boys' barracks.

Responsibilities

  • The CMA Resident Director lives in a private apartment located in the boys barracks.
  • The Resident Director works with the counselor and Military Mentor to ensure the boys' well-being in their barracks.
  • They also have the primary responsibility for overnight supervision of the students in the barracks.
  • The Resident Director aids the counselor in assignment, oversight, and mentoring of student leaders and serves as co-advisor to the barracks committee.
  • They are accountable for ensuring necessary documentation is obtained for student permits and leaves, observing wardrobe regulations, and maintaining proper study conditions.
  • The Resident Director is also responsible for their assigned barracks' condition, security, and safety.
