About The Position

The Resident Coordinator is the first point of contact for residents and the operational support anchor for the on-site team. This role supports leasing and tours, resident communication, move-ins and move-outs, renewals, work order flow, and the accuracy of everything in the system. The Resident Coordinator will learn every part of the operation, with the Business Manager teaching them deliberately. This is a developmental seat with a clear path to promotion within the company.

Requirements

  • A real interest in building a career in property management, not just taking a job
  • Hospitality or service instinct, with a track record of taking care of people
  • Strong attention to detail, and the discipline to stay accurate on a full day
  • Warm, clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfort with technology and genuine willingness to learn new systems quickly
  • Willingness to complete Fair Housing training and apply standards consistently
  • Ability to work on-site full-time
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Any background in service-heavy work: hotels, restaurants, events, retail, healthcare front office, or customer service
  • Leasing, front desk, or property management experience
  • Yardi experience, including CRM
  • Willingness to earn a CAM, NALP, or similar certification with SAIL's support

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for residents in person, by phone, and by email. Listen actively, solve problems, and follow through on what you promise.
  • Deliver Legendary Service every time, and help build a community where people want to stay.
  • Answer inquiries quickly, conduct tours, and follow up consistently.
  • Process applications and screening within policy.
  • Support the renewal campaign and help drive occupancy.
  • Maintain accurate resident records in Yardi.
  • Enter and track work orders, notices, and renewals.
  • Prepare move-in and move-out documentation.
  • Keep files organized and complete.
  • Walk the community regularly, inside and out.
  • Document and communicate issues, follow them to resolution, and hold to SAIL Standards on curb appeal and first impressions.
  • Use Yardi, CRM, and SAIL's operating tools well, and get good at them fast.
  • Bring ideas about how we could work smarter.
  • Take on progressive responsibility as you demonstrate capability.
  • Ask for the next thing.
  • Support the Business Manager on budgets, reporting, and performance conversations.
