About The Position

Paradigm Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, driven, and fun-spirited Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care at Paradigm at Woodwind Lakes in Houston, Texas. The position provides nursing care under the direction of a nurse and in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment. Resident care duties are assigned by the charge nurse. The role also involves promptly communicating and documenting care and observations, providing respectful and professional service, following facility procedures, and coordinating nursing services with other resident services.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State.

Nice To Haves

Two years of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care under the direction of a nurse and according to applicable state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment.
Perform assigned resident care duties, including transporting and transferring residents; restocking resident rooms; changing linen; positioning, bathing, and dressing residents; assisting with bowel and bladder needs, eating, and hydration; taking vital signs; and providing other care as needed or directed.
Document and promptly report observations, care delivered, and other pertinent information about residents’ care and condition to the nursing supervisor.
Ensure nursing interventions are performed in a timely manner.
Provide care professionally and courteously, treating residents kindly and gently and respecting their dignity and privacy.
Know and use the facility’s written policies and procedures.
Use established methods to coordinate and communicate nursing services with other resident services.
