About The Position

North Shore Health in Grand Marais, MN is looking for a Long Term Care Resident Care Manager. The Resident Care Manager supports Nursing Administration at North Shore Living in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating care for residents following the directives of professional and regulatory bodies. North Shore Living is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) licensed by the State of Minnesota and certified to be a Medicare/Medicaid provider. Supports the implementation and evaluation of departmental goals, standards of performance, resident safety and quality initiatives. Supports resident care and services are provided and improved through interdisciplinary teamwork, using clinical practice guidelines, evidence based outcomes or best practice recommendations while creating an experience of home that uplifts resident choice and opportunities for a meaningful life and promotes resident and family satisfaction. Assumes the duties of a Registered Nurse as needed to support residents and employees. Delegates tasks to other levels of nursing personnel and care providers according to guidelines established through the MN Nurse Practice Act. The Resident Care Manager is expected to assume a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to support the Mission, Vision and Values of North Shore Health.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years supervisory/management experience (may include charge, Assistant Head Nurse, Head Nurse, Administrative Supervisor, Nurse Manager, etc.) in an skilled nursing facility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Current license in Minnesota to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS Certification with a designation of either "BLS Provider" from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years nursing leadership or appropriate related administrative experience.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a healthcare related field.
