About The Position

We are looking for a passionate Resident Care Manager responsible for the supervision of the nursing team and who oversees the operation of a nursing unit and the daily delivery of care to residents. This role keeps the Director of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems. The Resident Care Manager coordinates unit admissions, discharges, and transfers. They plan, develop and organize work tasks; coordinate, supervise and evaluate employees. This role also coordinates the unit's services and activities in consultation with the Director of Nursing. The Resident Care Manager plans and supervises resident care, continually assesses residents' physical conditions, and participates in resident planning conferences. They monitor quality indicators and ensure positive outcomes to the extent possible, actively participate in and support continuous quality improvement efforts, and participate in admission and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required
• At least three (3) years' experience in a hospital or a long term care facility
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house)
• Weekend shift
• 16-24 hours, between the time of 6:00AM 6:00PM

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience preferred
• First Aid and CPR preferred. (can be done in-house)
