The Resident Care Manager - RN will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and revising of the MDS, including the implementation of CAAs and triggers. This role involves reviewing nurses' notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care provided and the resident's response to care and wishes. The position requires developing and maintaining good working relationships with all personnel to ensure resident needs are met, and making recommendations for new or updated procedures, policies, methods, education, reference material, and general nursing practices to ensure the highest level of quality patient care. The Resident Care Manager will also participate in reviews of discharge plans, prepare reports for the Care Plan Committee, and attend continuing education programs to stay current in the profession. Additionally, this role involves delegating, training, evaluating, and supporting RN, LPN, and CNA personnel, providing direct nursing care as necessary, assisting the director of nursing services, filling in as needed, making daily rounds to ensure work assignments are being performed, and participating in facility surveys by authorized government agencies. Maintaining confidentiality of resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and creating an atmosphere of warmth, patience, and enthusiasm are also key responsibilities.
