Resident Care Manager (RN)
About The Position
Longview is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical oversight and leadership for our Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living communities. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys mentoring staff, building relationships with residents and families, and using their clinical expertise in a supportive, relationship-centered environment. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State, in good standing
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum two years of nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Nice To Haves
- Assisted living, senior living, long-term care, hospital, or skilled nursing experience
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience working with older adults
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living services serving approximately 196 residents.
- Serve as a resource for residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
- Conduct resident assessments, admission screenings, and ongoing clinical evaluations.
- Participate in care conferences and family meetings.
- Mentor and support LPNs, Medication Technicians, and Resident Aides.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and staff development.
- Monitor resident wellness and ensure timely follow-up on changes in condition.
- Support medication management, pharmacy coordination, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, regulatory surveys, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident care.
