Resident Care Manager (RCM) In-Training
About The Position
Marquis Companies is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Resident Care Manager In-Training Program. This program offers in-depth training prior to placement in a facility, aiming to make new employees feel confident and knowledgeable. The training takes place at a Post-Acute Rehab facility in the Portland Metro Area and is a paid, full-time position. It includes training on all shifts to learn the day-to-day clinical operations. Upon completion, you will move into a full-time RCM position. In the RCM role, you will manage the healthcare needs of assigned residents, coordinate with various healthcare providers and families, and oversee resident assessments (MDS) and Care Area Assessments (CAAs). The training includes hands-on experience with Marquis nursing systems, procedures, and their electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Requirements
- An active and unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse License
- 1+ years of experience working as a RN
- Supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills
- Strong customer service skills
- A passion for working with the senior population on a collaborative team

Responsibilities
- Manage the complex healthcare needs of an assigned group of residents.
- Coordinate with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, other healthcare providers, facility inter-disciplinary teams, and resident’s families.
- Manage the care of patients in support with the Primary Floor Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Medication Aides.
- Conduct and coordinate resident assessments (MDS) in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Implement CAAs (Care Area Assessments).
