About The Position

The Resident Care Director organizes and directs the wellness team by establishing objectives, standards, and the organizational structure needed to achieve them. The director ensures nursing care meets local, state, and federal agency regulations and facility standards. This role develops resident-focused wellness programs, oversees staff and care plans, maintains compliant medical records, collaborates with healthcare professionals, manages wellness budgets and resources, trains staff, monitors residents’ well-being, and facilitates communication among residents, families, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

RN license in Rhode Island.
At least 5 years of supervision experience in the medical field.
Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of GAFC requirements, D.P.H. regulations, and Department of Elder Affairs standards.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Assisted living, long-term care, and geriatric nursing care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs tailored to residents’ needs.
Supervise and manage staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess resident needs and adjust care plans.
Manage budgets related to wellness programs and resources.
Conduct regular staff training on best practices in home care and assisted living.
Monitor residents’ overall health and well-being and provide support as needed.
Facilitate communication among residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
