Resident Care Associate RCA - Days
About The Position
Freedom Village Holland is hiring Resident Care Associates (RCAs), also described as caregivers, to assist licensed nursing staff and support residents with activities of daily living. The role provides routine care that promotes residents’ independence and dignity, including assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility. It can also serve as a stepping-stone to becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA): Freedom Village pays for CNA classes and state testing through MTEC, with a guaranteed promotion and pay increase after certification. The position offers day or evening shift options and scheduling choices that include weekdays, weekends, every other weekend, or a schedule arranged to fit the employee. The listed pay is $14.50–$20.00 per hour, including shift differentials. The workplace is a senior living community and long-term care setting with a hospitality-driven environment.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to document care accurately.
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic.

- Prior geriatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, and exercising.
- Perform basic treatments, tests, and procedures as instructed.
- Record observations and care provided.
- Transfer, transport, and escort residents.
- Answer call lights promptly.
- Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean resident rooms.
- Maintain safe and sanitary work areas.
- Encourage residents’ independence and participation in activities.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
