About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in the memory care community. The role includes helping residents with activities of daily living, transporting them within the community, responding promptly and safely to emergency calls, requests, and environmental hazards, and following resident care plans while obtaining vital signs. This is a part-time, day-shift position scheduled from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., including every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
