About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in a memory care setting. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helps maintain their personal environment. The Resident Assistant also transports residents within the community, responds promptly and safely to emergencies and requests, follows resident care plans, and obtains vital signs.

This is a part-time day-shift position scheduled from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., including every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
