Resident Assistant - Assisted Living
About The Position
SpringBrook Community of Onalaska is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to support older adults in an assisted living community. The role focuses on helping residents maintain independence while providing assistance as needed, and on fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging home. The listed schedule is a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Weekend Warrior program offers work every weekend on a consistent schedule with an additional $4.00 per hour. Requirements
- Dependability, compassion, and an enjoyment of working with seniors.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or GED is listed as a preferred qualification.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving, assisted living, home care, or healthcare.
- CNA certification; welcomed but not required.
- Medication Aide or Medication Technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal care needs.
- Provide medication assistance according to community procedures.
- Support residents during meals and activities.
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable living environment.
- Observe changes in residents’ conditions and communicate concerns.
- Encourage social engagement and meaningful interactions.
