About The Position

The Resident Assistant supports older adults at SpringBrook Community of Onalaska by helping them maintain independence and creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging home. The role includes providing personal care and medication assistance, supporting residents during meals and activities, maintaining a comfortable living environment, observing changes in residents’ condition, and encouraging social interaction. The position is part-time, with a day schedule of 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Weekend Warrior option involves working every weekend and provides an additional $4.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be dependable and compassionate, and enjoy working with seniors.
• Have strong communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in caregiving, assisted living, home care, or healthcare.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CNA certification is welcomed but not required.
• Medication Aide or Medication Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal care needs.
• Provide medication assistance according to community procedures.
• Support residents during meals and activities.
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable living environment.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and communicate concerns.
• Encourage social engagement and meaningful interactions.
