About The Position

The Resident Assistant at Woodland Terrace supports residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and personal choice. The role involves building meaningful relationships, encouraging engagement and well-being, and helping create a welcoming community where residents feel valued, respected, and cared for. The position is offered full-time in Memory Care or Assisted Living on a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule, or part-time in Assisted Living on a 3 p.m.–11 p.m. schedule. Pay is $17–$18.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with documentation systems.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• First Aid and CPR certification, as required.
• Must meet all state-required training and certification requirements.
• CNA certification or PCA certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant course preferred.
• Previous caregiving or senior living experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, dining, and mobility.
• Encourage independence while providing compassionate, individualized support.
• Monitor resident well-being and promptly report changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and build positive, trusting relationships with residents.
• Support residents with assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, and hearing aids.
• Respond to emergencies according to established policies and procedures.
• Document care and services accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the care team to support individualized service plans.
• Promote resident participation in wellness programs and social activities.
• Perform light housekeeping, including maintaining resident rooms and common areas.
• Assist with resident laundry and daily living needs as assigned.
• Assist with front desk responsibilities, including answering phones and greeting visitors as needed.
• Participate in community events and contribute to a positive resident experience.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
