About The Position

The Resident Assistant supports residents in memory care by providing assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helping residents maintain their personal environment. The role also involves transporting residents within the community and responding to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner. Resident Assistants review and follow resident care plans and obtain vital signs. This is a full-time position on the PM shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
