About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans and facility policies and procedures, under the direction of supervisor(s). The role provides compassionate routine daily nursing care and assists residents with personal care and meals. The position also includes attending scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.

Requirements

• At least a 10th-grade education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication competencies.
• Background and experience in shared decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned residents with compassionate routine daily nursing care and service.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Assist residents with daily dental, mouth, bath, and other care functions as necessary.
• Prepare residents for meals and serve food; record food and fluid intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
