Requirements

  • Ability to push carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb stairs, reach above or below shoulder height.

Responsibilities

  • Makes rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention.
  • Straightens utility rooms, linen rooms and pantry as needed.
  • Assists with meal service, passing trays, and clearing of tables.
  • Makes beds and tidy up rooms.
  • Passes out clean linen.
  • Assures ice water is available on the units.
  • Answers call lights and perform non-nursing duties – reporting to nursing when resident needs hands-on assistance or care from a licensed nurse.
  • Screens visitors.
  • Responsible for miscellaneous duties as assigned.
