About The Position
The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for a temporary Resident Aide to work in the Resident Services Department. This is a non-merit, temporary position and is exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. All applicants are subject to a criminal background and dependent adult abuse check. The State of Iowa participates in E-Verify and complies with federal Right to Work laws.

Responsibilities
- Escort residents to and from hair care appointments, pushing occupied adult sized wheelchairs.
- Assist in activity centers with projection preparation when not escorting.
