About The Position

The Residences Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for inspecting cleaned common areas, the pool, etc., to ensure quality standards are met. This role assists the Director of Facilities in managing daily activities and acts as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, and Concierge. The supervisor will prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments, communicate issues to the next shift, and complete required paperwork. Additionally, the role involves assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. The supervisor must follow all company and safety/security policies, report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and ensuring confidentiality are key. The role requires welcoming and acknowledging Residents and guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking them with genuine appreciation. Communication skills are essential, including speaking clearly and professionally, developing positive working relationships, and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Adherence to quality expectations and standards is mandatory. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods, and manipulating objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The role also requires computer proficiency for entering and locating work-related information and reading and verifying information in various formats. Other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors must also be performed.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect Common Areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
  • Assist Director of Facilities in managing daily activities.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, and Concierge.

  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all Residents and guests according to company standards; anticipate and address Resident and guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
