About The Position

Under the direction of the Program Director or their Designee, the Residence Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the Community Residence program. This includes assuming primary responsibility for the scheduling, training, supervision, and evaluation of direct care staff, monitoring the physical plant, assisting in hiring of program staff, assisting in intake and discharge of program youth, and monitoring the program to ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations as well as Agency Vision, Mission, Philosophy and Values. The Residence Manager works collaboratively with the Case Coordinator and Program Nurse to ensure that each youth participating in the community residence program is receiving all services needed.

Requirements

  • Must meet the qualifications for a Qualified Mental Health Staff as stated in Part 593 of the OMH regulations.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and their families.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license that meets insurability guidelines to operate Agency owned vehicles.
  • Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field is strongly preferred, though relevant equivalency of experience may be considered.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
