We're seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated leader to oversee one of our residential programs in Patchogue. About the Role As a Residence Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a residential home serving individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. You'll lead and mentor staff, ensure quality care and regulatory compliance, and help create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can thrive and achieve greater independence. This role is ideal for a strong leader who enjoys building teams, solving problems, and helping others reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities
  • Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1-year licensed driving experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate Assistant Residence Managers and Direct Support Professionals
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on person-centered care
  • Coordinate and lead staff meetings and program-related trainings
  • Ensure employees have the skills and resources needed to provide exceptional support
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the residence
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD and agency regulations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
  • Coordinate annual and interim planning meetings
  • Ensure each individual receives quality care tailored to their goals and needs
  • Monitor implementation of service plans and personal outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and advocates
  • Support individuals in achieving greater independence and community inclusion
  • Oversee medication administration and medical follow-up
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents
  • Manage participant funds, personal allowances, and financial records
  • Provide direct support when needed and participate in the on-call rotation
