About The Position
Ohel is seeking an energetic Residence Manager to oversee a residential program serving adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). The ideal candidate is a compassionate, people-oriented leader who can effectively manage a team providing 24-hour support and supervision. The Residence Manager will play a dual administrative and clinical role, ensuring the overall well-being and safety of the individuals residing in the program.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Valid NY or NJ driver’s license required
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage both administrative and clinical responsibilities
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the physical, emotional, and medical care of residents
- Maintaining the physical plant of the home
- Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulations
- Supervising an interdisciplinary team
- Working closely with individuals and their families, day program staff, medical providers, agency supervisors, and other colleagues to coordinate services and promote the highest quality of care
