About The Position

This is a fixed-term contract role for a ResearchOps Transformation Lead at Justworks. The Research & Insights team is looking for someone to help transform how research and strategic insight are conducted, developed, and leveraged at scale. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the strategic aspects of research methodology and skilled in architecting systems, tools, and workflows. This role involves automating processes, transforming participant recruitment, harnessing the expertise of the research community, and defining ethical standards. The position also focuses on increasing insights fluency across the organization by scaling infrastructure for insight distribution and establishing a Research Knowledge Management system. The role offers significant autonomy and partnership with leadership to shape how insight and strategy drive decisions at Justworks.

Requirements

Proven track record (6-8 years, with demonstrated experience at a staff or principal level) of building and scaling operational systems and governance structures.
Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and building AI-powered workflows for knowledge retrieval, research synthesis, automation, or insight distribution.
Experience working in a technology environment, including a deep understanding of experience design, user research, and product development processes.
Exposure to research methods in UX, market research, design research, and/or strategic research.
Strong cross-functional partnership and lateral leadership skills, with experience working across Product, Design, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Procurement.
Track record of operating independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments — able to set direction, influence without authority, and drive outcomes.
Experience with research and insight management platforms such as Great Question, Qualtrics, Dovetail, User Interviews, dscout, and Figma.
Background in compliance-sensitive environments (e.g., fintech, SaaS, enterprise B2B) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Transform our operational foundation to support research at scale by leading research operations, defining vision, roadmap, and OKRs, and creating a sequenced operating plan.
Automate workflows by designing and building AI-powered agents, automations, and intelligent workflows to handle tasks like surfacing prior research, routing insights, synthesizing patterns, and managing participants.
Transform participant recruitment and customer access infrastructure to provide reliable, ethical, and efficient access to customers for researchers and other Justworkers.
Harness the time and expertise of the research and strategy community by defining how their expertise plugs in and building scalable coordination systems.
Define research ethics, compliance, and data governance standards, including frameworks, consent workflows, and privacy practices.
Scale the infrastructure that connects every Justworker to insight and strategy through automated distribution channels and workflows.
Establish and govern the Research Knowledge Management system, building a living repository for intelligence.
Build the operational backbone for the Insights Fluency program, developing playbooks, tools, templates, and training infrastructure.
