NERA Researcher – AT/Healthcare (Immediate Hire)
About The Position
NERA is seeking an experienced Researcher to join their Antitrust-Healthcare business line. The role involves applying economic theory and quantitative methods to provide economic analysis and testimony for matters involving mergers and acquisitions, antitrust litigation, and competition policy. The position focuses on analyzing economic issues such as market definition, market dynamics, entry conditions, pricing, conduct, agreements, and profitability. NERA's experts also estimate damages and assess class certification. The San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago offices have a significant focus on healthcare antitrust analysis. The role offers little to no travel.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of professional experience
- A minimum of a BA or BS in economics, statistics, mathematics or related field
- Exceptional analytic skills
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, SAS, Stata)
- Strong academic records
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to write in a clear and persuasive manner
Nice To Haves
- Coursework and/or experience in economics, statistics, and regression analysis/econometrics
Responsibilities
- Designing and building quantitative models and applying econometric analysis to economic and financial data
- Valuation analyses
- Reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing industry trends
