About The Position

This Researcher I position serves as an EEG Specialist within the Raison Lab, supporting clinical research studies focused on neurophysiological outcomes. The position provides technical expertise in electroencephalography (EEG) and is responsible for the setup, administration, and quality control of EEG procedures in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include conducting EEG procedures; interpreting and analyzing EEG data; maintaining and troubleshooting equipment; supporting data handling and the preparation of progress reports; and providing training and oversight to research staff to ensure consistency and protocol compliance across studies. This role involves close collaboration with investigators and research staff, with study sessions that include evenings, weekends, and overnight hours.

Requirements

  • Experience performing EEG procedures, including electrode placement and real-time monitoring of signal quality
  • Experience with EEG equipment and data acquisition systems, including basic troubleshooting
  • Experience interpreting and/or analyzing EEG data
  • Experience training or supervising staff in EEG procedures
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with research settings, including adherence to study protocols and standardized data collection procedures
  • Experience supporting research activities, including data handling, documentation, or reporting
  • Master’s degree in a health or science-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs literature reviews and writes reports
  • Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials
  • Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and student workers
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences
  • Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s).
  • Collects data and monitors test results
  • Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area.
  • Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders

Benefits

  • The starting salary for the position is $ 63,439 annually ; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
