Our goal in the OGI Genomics core is to empower researchers by delivering high-quality, genomic services that address the evolving needs of the scientific community. Our goal is to ensure seamless integration of genomic technologies into research projects by offering a wide range of genomic technologies, including Sanger and NGS sequencing, genotyping and gene expression profiling all in a CLIA-certified environment. The Research Technologist will be under general supervision of the associate director, and performs diagnostic genetic testing, equipment maintenance, solution and reagent preparation, monitors inventory in addition to other tasks in a highly complex clinical diagnostic laboratory. Carries out a broad range of technically advanced research activities and procedures; and maintains meticulous records for diagnostic lab; typically supervises technical and sometimes administrative elements of the diagnostic lab and core facility.
