About The Position

At Arkana Laboratories, the Research Technologist assists with experiments by performing standard laboratory procedures and maintaining basic laboratory operations. The role prepares biological samples, handles research reagents, operates instrumentation, and collects data while following good laboratory practices. The position is onsite at the main office in Little Rock, Arkansas, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
At least 1 year of full-time bench laboratory experience.
Proficient use of the Windows Office suite of software.
Understanding of universal precautions and safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects with varying or changing timelines.
Ability to prioritize workload.
High accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a histotechnologist.

Responsibilities

Follow standard laboratory procedures as directed by senior researchers.
Properly operate laboratory equipment and document its use.
Maintain laboratory reagent inventory and documentation.
Collect, record, and maintain experimental data.
Participate in and contribute to meetings and experiment planning.
Learn and engage with new approaches and technologies as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
