About The Position
The Lito Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center investigates how RAS oncoproteins drive cancer growth and how their biology can be exploited to develop targeted therapies. A new hire would contribute to advancing next-generation treatments and overcoming drug resistance, directly helping expand effective precision medicine options for patients with RAS-driven cancers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven basic laboratory skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks in a research setting.
- Attention to detail and strong record-keeping habits.
- Ability to follow protocols while troubleshooting when needed.
- Team-oriented approach to supporting postdocs and fellow researchers.
- Adaptability in a dynamic lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain lab inventory, equipment, instruments, solutions, assays, and other essential supplies.
- Perform specialized molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, such as cell culture, PCR and molecular cloning, electrophoresis, Western blots, protein and DNA purification, and fluorescent, colorimetric, or bioluminescent microplate assays.
- Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team.
- Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
