About The Position

Join the Daniel Heller Lab as a Research Technician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). This role is essential to Dr. Heller’s research team, focusing on developing a Machine Perception Liquid Biopsy (MaPeLBx) platform. This platform utilizes quantum well defect-modified carbon nanotubes (QWNTs) for early diagnostic assessment, aiming to detect different cancer types and characterize biomarkers using patient biofluids.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 1 year of laboratory experience.
  • Must be able to work with patient plasma samples.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic background knowledge in scientific computing, numerical analysis, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate cutting-edge Machine Perception Liquid Biopsy (MaPeLBx) platform.
  • Coordinate Patient Sample Biobanking: liaise with clinician-collaborators to identify and source patient samples for diagnostic analysis.
  • Working on assays with patient biofluids.
  • Data Management.
  • Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
