Research Technician – College of Natural Resources (Continuous Recruitment)
About The Position
This is a temporary, fixed-term position for a Research Technician within the College of Natural Resources. The role involves conducting research experiments with limited supervision and providing technical support for research projects and/or labs with some degree of independence. The College of Natural Resources is one of the largest comprehensive natural resources undergraduate programs in North America, known for its interdisciplinary approach and emphasis on hands-on experiences. It comprises disciplines such as Environment and Society, Fisheries and Water Resources, Forestry, Soil and Waste Resources, Wildlife Ecology, and the Department of Paper Science and Chemical Engineering.
Requirements
- Previous student research technician experience
- Valid and current driver's license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Performs lab and/or field test materials and samples according to established research requirements and specifications.
- Performs lab or field tests.
- Inspects and maintains equipment, supplies, inventory, and facility spaces.
- Collects data and monitors test results according to established research requirements and specifications.
- May assist with literature reviews and/or report writing.
- Reviews data to summarize results for presentations or reporting.
